New wedding-planning app launches

Trying to plan your wedding in your lunch hour just got easier thanks to brand new app The Wedding Fixers. Launched by a trio of tech-savvy ladies – Anne Widdop, Morag Webster and Victoria Bisland [pictured below] – at the end of May, the app was borne out of dissatisfaction with their own wedding planning experience, namely that some unscrupulous suppliers seemed to increase prices on hearing the word ‘wedding’ and the fact that they found it difficult to compare prices and book suppliers online.

Using the app, brides and grooms-to-be can search for suppliers, check availability, book appointments and pay deposits. Each supplier has its own ‘window’ that describes the services they offer and shows photographs and/or videos of some of their wedding portfolio. There’s also a handy budget reckoner that keeps track of your running totals for suppliers booked via the app and the option to chat online with other brides/grooms who are also in the midst of planning.
