Steal their style: the best celeb-inspired engagement rings

Celebrities – they’re just like us. Well, perhaps not, but these dupes for famous engagement rings will get you one step closer to sealing your place amongst the glitterati…

Ariana Grande

We doubt your beloved would be upset about being Stuck with U if a beauty like this were involved. Top: yellow-gold ring with customer’s own diamonds, bottom: pear-shaped 0.55ct diamond ring in platinum, both £POA, Lava Jewellery Design (Photo of Ariana Grande: Tinseltown/Shutterstock.com)

“It’s not uncommon for celebrities to chose unusual stones for engagement rings,” shares Jacqui Grant over at Lava Jewellery Design. “For example, Princess Eugenie opted for a padparadscha sapphire, an extremely rare gem whose unique colouring mixes orange and pink. Ariana Grande’s ring is right at home amongst other quirky celeb choices: whilst her inclusion of a diamond is more traditional, it is unexpected to see a pearl featured in a ring which will be worn every day. One benefit of dealing with an independent jeweller, as opposed to shopping on the high street, is the chance to explore these rarer gemstones, often for a fraction of the cost.”

Leigh-Anne Pinnock

She’s recently given birth to twins, but we’d argue that there’s three babies in Leigh-Anne’s life if you count this sparkler… Emerald-cut ruby and diamond ring, £6,600, Laings (Photo of Leigh-Anne: Cubankite/Shutterstock.com)

“Celebrity rings are usually bespoke, one-of-a-kind pieces with a unique design or a rare, principal stone taking centre stage,” considers Laings’ Debbie McKernan. “This holds true for Leigh-Anne’s ring, which makes a statement with a very large stone, interesting split shoulder shank, and distinctive, vintage design. Our ring is very similar in style, with the exception being the central stone and the split shoulder detail on the shank. This style is more commonly worn as a dress ring, but is a great example of how modern times allow women to showcase their personality through jewellery and choose something that exudes their individual spirit.”

Paris Hilton

Money can’t buy you happiness, but the Hilton heiress sure knows that it can buy you a jaw-dropping rock. Cornflower blue, sapphire and diamond ring, £POA, Brazen Studios (Photo of Paris: Andrea Raffin/Shutterstock.com)

“Paris’s ring has a classic look, but the scale of the diamonds means it packs a punch,” highlights Sarah Raffel at Brazen Studios. “The centre diamond is the focal point, but the well-proportioned side stones taper the design around the finger. In our ring, the central sapphire – a bi-colour, natural, unheated stone – in a beautiful cornflower blue shade takes centre stage, whilst the graduated diamonds on the side link the band to the main stone with some added sparkle and small Scottish details in the metal.”

Lily Collins

Nab some style inspo from the star of Emily in Paris – you’ll look the part whilst strolling down the Champs-Élysées! Aquamarine and 18ct yellow-gold ring, £POA, Number Five Goldsmiths (Photo of Lily: Andrea Raffin/Shutterstock.com)

“Lily’s ring of choice has a modern, classic look with a ‘less is more’ sensibility,” Number Five Goldsmiths’ Stuart Bruce describes. “It appears to feature an enviable pink diamond set in 18ct gold. The simplicity of a rub-over or bezel setting gives a contemporary look to the piece. It’s also more secure than claw settings, which can sometimes look old-fashioned. For our bespoke ring, we used an aquamarine stone set in 18ct gold and, like Lily’s jeweller, opted for a rub-over setting.”

Bella Thorne

She might be one of the most well-known creators on OnlyFans, but the sole thing we’re ogling is that absolute stunner… Platinum ring with pear-cut centre diamond, £3,925, Jewellery By Design  (Photo of Bella: Denis Makarenko/Shutterstock.com)

“The standout feature of Bella’s ring is without a doubt the pear-cut centre diamond,” swoons Claire Moore from Jewellery By Design. “I would expect this to be set in platinum since the metal’s durability would help support such a large stone. Our ring is exactly the same halo style with diamond-set shoulders, a similar pear-cut centre stone and platinum setting. Opting for a diamond halo maximises the sparkle and brightness from the centre stone and makes the ring appear even more substantial.”

Jonathan Bennett

His hair looks sexy pushed back, but we’re more attracted to that bling – get in loser, we’re going shopping! Platinum ring with baguette-cut white diamonds and gold lining, £POA, Brazen Studios (Photo of Jonathan: Kathy Hutchins/Shutterstock.com)

“The Mean Girls star’s ring has beautiful clean lines and a discreet row of precision-set diamonds on the elevation, which is a lovely detail,” muses Brazen Studios’ Sarah. “The piece manages to have both a cool, modern look and a timeless feel, so works well now and will for many years to come. Our platinum ring features a single row of very fine baguette-cut white diamonds. Step cuts, such as baguette and emerald, are reminiscent of the Art Deco period and create a sharp look. We also lined the inside of this ring with sentimental family gold, adding a personal touch.”
