Bellanude by Sarah Murphy is a couture clothing brand based in Edinburgh and its first ready-to-wear line is perfect for relaxed brides
Remember that fashion moment when Villanelle from Killing Eve appeared on screen wearing a heavenly confection of bubblegum-pink tulle? The Molly Goddard dress practically broke the internet as style-conscious viewers frantically tried to buy the look.
If, like us, you don’t have the thousands to drop on Molly’s tulle couture, listen up…Bellanude is a new ready-to-wear collection of pretty, soft pastel tulle separates from Scottish designer Sarah Murphy that are just made for a stroll down the aisle.
The Edinburgh-based brand won legions of fans with earlier bespoke runway collections and looks set to win even more hearts with this more accessible range. “After a great reaction to my Promise collection, I decided it was time to pare back some of the looks for a more ‘everyday’ vibe and along came the first ready-to-wear collection,” says Sarah. “The collection focuses on sleek, simple cuts of fabric to frame the body but without the fuss of an oversized dress. It’s amazing to think that a bride could potentially be wearing something of mine. I picture a fun-loving, laid-back sort of bride who wants to stand out in their own way wearing these pieces.”
The line features limited-edition dresses paired with delicate hand-gathered tulle, all created entirely in Scotland. Wearers can dress the pieces up for a special occasion or pair with jeans for the ultimate going-out look.
Maximum wear-again value from your wedding attire – what more could a girl want? (Actually, the only thing we can think of is the option to go completely bespoke – and Sarah has the made-to-measure option all sewn up too.)
Bellanude by Sarah Murphy’s ready-to-wear collection launches 29th August 2020 at 6pm.
