Alessandra Rinaudo’s latest collection arrives at Anne Priscilla Bridal

Bridal tuxedo, £POA, Alessandra Rinaudo, available at Anne Priscilla Bridal

“The Anne Priscilla Bridal buying team was in Milan, where they were treated to a private showing of the 2019 Alessandra Rinaudo Urban Age collection,” reveals Karen Kelly at the Glasgow boutique. “The range provides incredible versatility via its couture separates. The entire line is edgy and chic, for the contemporary woman who wants to express herself in a non-traditional way.”

What inspired the gang the most while they were living la dolce vita in Italia? “Our favourite has to be the bridal tuxedo, paired with a glamorous, beaded top [above, £POA],” Karen admits. We’re a bit smitten ourselves and can’t help but feel it’s the dawning a of new era for wedding attire – pin-sharp tailoring and playful disco tops for us from now on!

What else is new in bridal? “This season is all about layering and contrasting textures,” Karen considers. “We adore the fabulous use of feathers at Eliza Jane Howell – the incredible Caditz skirt [below left, £POA] is the perfect example of this. And the combination of the Chicory skirt and Poppy bustier from Willowby by Watters [below right, £POA] shows how to create the illusion of a fuller skirt, by the innovative use of layers-upon-layers of pleated tulle juxtaposed with a cropped, elaborately embellished velvet bustier. It’s a look that is fashion forward, relaxed and fun!”
