You’ll not want to miss Opus Studio, a brand new line of fabulous couture wedding dresses inspired by the Scottish coast from Ayrshire’s Opus Atelier, nor the exciting series of designer trunk shows in the next few months lined up here and at sister boutique Opus Couture

Walks along the shore, a carefully tended window box, a picnic in the park…our lives revolve ever increasingly around nature thanks to the pandemic. And what nature we have: this rugged country of ours may not always have the weather, but – my goodness – do we have the landscapes.
“Influenced by wild Scottish scenery, the Opus Studio collection is an exquisite range of luxury dresses, designed by our creative director Sharon McPherson, available exclusively at Opus Atelier,” introduces the Ayrshire boutique’s Lauren McKinnon. “With over 30 years in the industry and two award-winning bridal boutiques under her belt (sister store Opus Couture is also based in West Kilbride), Sharon has utilised her vast wealth of knowledge and specialist design skills to create this alluring line of unique wedding gowns.”

It’s a triumph. The bold, tactile lace Iona dress is drop-dead gorgeous, while Skye’s delicate lace trim, light-as-air layering and lingerie-style corsetry could easily rival anything by high-end label Berta (one of Opus Atelier’s other star designers).
Speaking of high-end labels, Opus Atelier and its sister boutique Opus Couture also have an unmissable series of trunk shows on the horizon. At Couture, you’ve got Pronovias 2021 on 28th-29th August, Blue by Enzoani 2022 on 11th-12th September and Enzoani 2022 on 2nd-3rd October. Meanwhile at Atelier, Berta’s scheduled for 21st-22nd August, and Chosen by Khya (we’re crushing on the Darling gown, £POA, below) is on 4th-5th September. There will be a 10% discount at every show, each will run between 9am-5.30pm, and you can book an appointment via the website. Get them in the diary!
