If someone has over 10 years’ experience designing prom and event dresses, you know when they venture into the world of bridal couture it’s going to be good.

Edinburgh-based Carolyn Baxter’s new bridal collection takes inspiration from Australian designers such as Pallas Couture and Leah Da Gloria. Expect sheer fabrics, embellished beaded laces, 3D flower work, and a suitable sprinkling of pearls and feathers.

Her store, based at 44 London Street in the capital, is an Aladdin’s cave of beauty – you can expect a first-class experience from the moment you enter.
