The East Kilbride hotel finds success with its ‘sequel’ and ‘shift’ packages, meaning that even with restrictions, couples still have a say in how their big day goes
Many of the changes venues have had to make as a result of Covid-19 have been so popular, they’ve experienced an avalanche of interest. “Macdonald Crutherland House & Spa has seen a 25% spike in enquiries after launching a series of new deals (such as our ‘sequel packages’, where you’d have a small service now and a grander reception later), created to help couples following lockdown,” shares co-ordinator Danielle Fabian.
“We’ve all had time to reflect on what’s important to us, and couples are still focused on showcasing their love and are happy to adapt so their day can still happen.” Another popular option is the new ‘shift weddings’ package, which sees couples host one group of family and friends for the ceremony and another for an extended wedding breakfast the following day.
“Your wedding is one of the most special days of your life and we give a promise to each of our couples that we will do everything we can to create the day they have always dreamed of,” says Danielle.
