Gillian and Gary Hughes have amassed one million views on the video-sharing platform after the groom got down on one knee again – this time to help his bride change into some comfy shoes

The happy couple were on cloud nine after tying the knot at the Westerwood Hotel in Cumbernauld, near Glasgow, on 23 July, when their humanist wedding celebrant George McLean from Fuze Ceremonies captured the sweet clip.

George confesses he always has his phone at the ready to shoot cute moments between couples, and knew he had to start recording when Gary got down on one knee to help Gillian into some more dance floor-appropriate white Vans. Aww!

“I think it clearly captures Gary’s love for Gillian as he just got on with the job in hand – it was like they were in their own wee love bubble,” says George. “As humanist celebrants at Fuze we conduct lots of symbolic gestures during our ceremonies and perhaps Gary and Gillian have just created a new one to add to the list.”

The newlyweds, who are from Cumbernauld, have been together for six years and performed a sand blending symbolic gesture to celebrate their two families coming together – involving Gary and his two daughters Lara and Lily-Rose, alongside Gillian and her son Luke.

“I love that people can see the kind of man I married, Gary is always looking after me and this clip really backs this up,” Gillian said. “We are delighted that George not only conducted such a wonderful ceremony, but was on hand to capture this for us.”
