Cherry Blossom Cake Design planner and baker Steph McNab led an industrial-chic shoot at Dundee's The Weaving Shed where real-life model couple Alex and Gregor's undeniable chemistry dazzled alongside the details and decor

“Romantic boho spirit with an industrial edge” was the brief that the team nailed!

Blank-canvas Scottish wedding venue

Blank-canvas warehouse The Weaving Shed in Dundee played host to this sweet styled shoot that saw its industrial exposed-brick edges softened by textural rattan and silk table decor, seasonal flowers, twinkling fairylights and candles.

“The aim was to capture the essence of a modern, free-spirited couple who aren’t afraid to blend styles,” says the shoot’s chief organiser Steph McNab at Cherry Blossom Cake Design.

Minimalist, modern wedding cake design

Needless to say, the cake was a star element of the plans, featuring a minimal base decorated with intricate sugar flowers in warm, rich tones to specially tie in with the bouquet and arrangements by The Greenshed Flower Studio.

“They featured locally sourced flowers from Fife in shades of pink, peach and ochre,” notes Steph.

Wedding photographer and content creator team
