Beatson Cancer Charity is encouraging couples who are due to tie the knot to explore ways they can support cancer patients on their big day.

Looking stylish and supporting a good cause has never been easier, with the launch of the charity’s new tartan. The tartan was specially commissioned with perfect tones for a Scottish wedding. It can be used in a variety of ways from kilts, chair ties, around bouquets or even within ceremonies as a hand-fasting ribbon.

The special tartan can be incorporated in many ways, such as with these stunning keepsake favours

The tartan was inspired by Jane Hunter, former Glasgow School of Art student and now owner of Hunter’s Atelier. It was woven at Isla Bank Mills in Keith, part of the Macnaughton Group, with over 200 years of experience as a niche manufacturer in the textile industry.

Kathleen McLaren, head of trading at Beatson Cancer Charity, said: “Working alongside Slanj Kilts and Jane Hunter of Hunters Atelier to come up with such a beautiful tartan while incorporating our brand colours was so special.

“Please consider supporting Beatson Cancer Charity by incorporating it into your wedding day. Whether it be kilt or a keepsake heart, a favour or friendship orb It all goes toward supporting the patients and families of The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre.”

You can purchase the beautiful tartan by the metre. The charity’s wedding favours are also available to purchase as a gift for guests.
