When should couples book their wedding entertainment?

Hireaband recommends booking as early as possible, as their most popular bands are often reserved up to 18 months in advance.

January and February are Hireaband’s busiest months for new wedding bookings, when competition for the most sought-after dates is at its highest. 

Hireaband is also happy to accommodate last-minute bookings, though availability may be more limited.

Can we request specific songs or playlists?

Yes. First dance requests are always accommodated, even if the band needs to learn the song from scratch. Each band’s set list is clearly displayed on their Hireaband profile page, giving you a clear idea of what to expect from your entertainment.

Special requests should be appropriate for the band’s style and instrumentation, and most Scottish wedding bands include up to 30 minutes of ceilidh music.

Do bands provide their own sound and lighting equipment?

Yes, all a band needs is a safe electrical supply and enough room to safely set up their equipment.

What happens if there are delays or schedule changes on the day?

Hireaband provides an emergency support service to protect your schedule should a band be delayed on their way to your wedding.

In the extremely rare event that illness or other unforeseen circumstances prevent your chosen band from attending, Hireaband will do everything possible to organise suitable alternative entertainment.

If your venue needs to adjust the timeline, bands are also happy to be as flexible as they can.
