The Craft Pottery is an independent pottery-painting studio in Glasgow’s city centre that offers a relaxed, artistic and immersive activity ideal for pre-wedding celebrations. Over the past 10 years, they’ve welcomed hundreds of hen parties, making them a brilliant choice for brides looking for quirky, creative hen-do ideas in Scotland.
Creative, hands-on pottery painting for hen parties in Glasgow
Stand out from the crowd and do something a little different for your hen party with Craft Pottery by creating a memento of your celebration.
Plus, pottery painting is an ideal activity for people of all ages, and Craft Pottery can accommodate parties of only two up to 80 people in their large studio. Private sections of the building can also be booked for groups of over 24 guests, and off-site events (within Glasgow’s city limits) can also be organised.
How Craft Pottery works
The creative assistants at Craft Pottery will explain the entire process at the beginning of your session and be on-hand throughout to answer any questions along the way.
You don't need to be an artist or even know how to hold a paintbrush – there is something for everyone!
Each party will have a two-hour session where you will choose a blank piece of pottery from around 100 options (their range includes mugs, bowls, plates, jugs, vases, figurines, trays, banks, jewellery dishes, homewares and much more), and paint it with your unique design. You can also enjoy their BYOB policy with no corkage fee (cups and bottle openers provided) and have fun socialising with friends and family during what is truly an unforgettable experience.
After your group is ready to leave, your pieces will remain in their studio for glazing and firing and will be ready for collection around 10 days later.
Or if you fancy getting a bit more hands-on, their sister studio The Craft Pottery Studio offers wheel-throwing for up to 6 participants and hand-building clay workshops for up to 16 participants – and they’re located just one floor above The Craft Pottery.
Testimonials
Kirstin: “We visited The Craft Pottery as part of my hen-do. Arranging the visit for my large group couldn't have been easier – the whole team at The Craft Pottery were fantastic and so helpful, accommodating and friendly. They were really responsive ahead of time and so welcoming on the day. The painting itself was great fun, with loads of options, paint colours, and supplies to choose from. Everyone raved about the experience for the rest of the weekend, and most are planning another visit.”
