Abercairny Estate is a historic, exclusive-use wedding venue set within the Strathearn Valley in rural Perthshire. Surrounded by acres of parkland, the estate offers flexible indoor and outdoor spaces, a restored Gothic Stables complex and complete freedom to personalise every element of a wedding celebration.

Historic Perthshire wedding venue with exclusive use

Abercairny Estate is defined by scale, privacy and heritage. Landscaped in the 18th century, the terraced gardens and parkland were designed to frame long views across the lake to the surrounding woodland and Strathearn beyond.

At the heart of the estate sit the Gothic Stables, carefully restored to balance historic features with modern comforts, while outside, the central courtyard and gardens provide a natural flow between ceremony, drinks and evening celebrations.

Ceremony and reception spaces at Abercairny Estate

Abercairny Estate can accommodate weddings of up to 120 guests, with additional capacity available via a marquee. Venue hire includes access from 9 am the day before the wedding until 12 noon the following day.

Thistle Hall

Located within the Gothic Stables, Thistle Hall is used for wedding ceremonies and evening dancing. Its dark stone fireplace, portrait-lined walls and balanced proportions create a striking yet versatile setting for ceremonies and celebrations.

Dining Hall

The Dining Hall hosts wedding meals for up to 120 guests, offering a formal dining experience within the historic stables complex.

Side rooms within the stables can be adapted to suit the day, from relaxed bar spaces to photobooths or quiet breakout rooms.

Italian Garden, Courtyard and outdoor spaces

Outdoor ceremonies and drinks receptions can be hosted in the Italian Garden or central courtyard, with views across the landscaped grounds. These spaces are also ideal for post-ceremony drinks, canapés and guest mingling.

Marquee

For larger celebrations, a dedicated marquee hard-standing accommodates weddings of up to 200 guests, offering a blank canvas with panoramic views.

Intimate weddings

Smaller weddings of up to 30 guests can be hosted within Thistle Hall and the Dining Hall, creating a more intimate celebration while retaining the grandeur of the estate.

On-site accommodation

Arnbank Cottage, the estate’s on-site accommodation, sleeps up to 10 guests. Recently renovated, the cottage offers a comfortable and relaxed base for the wedding party, with a large kitchen-diner, garden space and views across the surrounding countryside.

Anna and Daniel act as proactive hosts and are happy to suggest experienced Scottish caterers and other local suppliers who are familiar with the venue.
