Indoor spaces at Cardney Steading

Set within its 2000-acre estate, Cardney offers a selection of indoor spaces for ceremonies and receptions, each with its own unique features.

The Cattle Shed

Located in the centre of the Steading, The Cattle Shed is a blank canvas room that has been thoughtfully restored to preserve its rustic character, enhanced by contemporary touches.

Its large sliding doors allow natural light to flood the space, casting a golden hue that harmonises with the awe-inspiring views of the loch and surrounding woodlands. Its whitewashed walls and countryside details create a charming and inviting atmosphere for a beautiful celebration of love.

The Cattle Shed is the estate’s largest indoor area, the space is best used for evening receptions for up to 200 and can cater for indoor drinks receptions during wilder weather.

The Old Mill

This calming, spiritual space is located within the estate’s traditional stone-built mill house and is ideal for indoor ceremonies. With the tranquil sounds of the nearby burn, The Old Mill’s peaceful charm is enhanced by the space’s rural elegance and homely atmosphere.

Double doors conjoin the space to the outdoors, offering the freedom to transform the space throughout the day. Original beams and stone walls bathe in natural daylight, coming alive at night with warm festoon lights draped from the grain threshers.

This is the Steading’s most intimate indoor space, ideal for ceremonies for up to 160 guests. If you’re planning an outdoor ceremony, you and your guests will still enjoy the charm of The Old Mill when the evening buffet is served.

The Dalradian

The Dalradian is Cardney Steading's new dining room; with loch views, covered balcony and space for up to 160 dinner guests this unique space is sure to impress. The addition of The Dalradian removes the requirement for a room turnaround between dinner and dancing, improving the flow of your day and ensuring that your guests are kept entertained by the range of spaces throughout the steading. With options for a post-dinner cocktail hour on the balcony or extra time on the dancefloor, the choice is yours!
