Originally a 19th-century railway station, Dornoch Station has been carefully restored to preserve its heritage while offering all the comforts of a modern wedding venue. Overlooking Royal Dornoch Golf Club and just a short walk from the beach and cathedral, this boutique hotel provides a memorable setting for Highland weddings.

1616 Ballroom
The 1616 Ballroom is Dornoch Station’s standout event space, featuring grand columns, statement chandeliers, soft drapery and a striking floral ceiling installation. The space creates a seamless flow throughout the day and is fully adaptable for ceremonies, dining and evening receptions, accommodating up to 120 guests.
From here, celebrations move effortlessly through the hotel’s elegant interiors, from the main lobby’s grand staircase and original wooden panelling to the cosy lounge with its open fire. Evening drinks can continue in Bar Ross and the adjoining snooker room with its full-size table.
On sunny days, guests can enjoy the terrace along the front of the hotel, as well as the expansive lawn and putting green, offering beautiful outdoor space to complement the indoor setting.
