Fyvie Castle: A historic Scottish castle wedding venue

Fyvie Castle, Garden & Estate combines 800 years of history with striking architecture, artwork and folklore. Once home to royalty and noble families, the castle features vaulted ceilings, Flemish tapestries and original portraiture by artists including Raeburn and Gainsborough. 

Now in the care of the National Trust for Scotland, it offers couples the chance to host their wedding in a unique heritage setting while directly supporting conservation work.

Outdoor weddings

Marquee hire is available on the south lawn for larger weddings, with the castle providing a dramatic backdrop, particularly when floodlit at night.

On-site accommodation at Fyvie Castle

Sleep like royalty in Fyvie’s striking self-catering accommodation, Preston Tower Apartment. Offering space for up to 16 guests across three double bedrooms and five twin rooms, the apartment is furnished to a high standard and retains many of the castle’s original Baronial features and antique furniture.

Fyvie Castle is in the village of Fyvie, near Turriff in Aberdeenshire. It’s a 30-minute drive from Aberdeen Airport and less than five minutes from Inverurie train station.

No. As the castle and grounds are open to the public, exclusive use cannot be guaranteed.

Fyvie Castle’s grounds are mostly level, and there is level access to the castle entrance, the tearoom, the walled garden and the American garden, including accessible toilets.

Unfortunately, due to the spiral staircase inside the castle, there is no access to the upper rooms.
