Piersland House

Built in 1899 for Sir Alexander Walker, grandson of Johnnie Walker, Piersland House retains many of its original architectural features, including detailed woodwork, a grand staircase, fireplaces and an original tapestry.

Today, the privately owned Troon hotel combines its country house setting with established wedding facilities, landscaped gardens and on-site accommodation. Couples can choose from intimate indoor ceremonies, larger celebrations in the Garden Room or a marquee wedding for up to 200 guests.

A dedicated wedding team supports couples throughout the planning process, while in-house catering, overnight accommodation and flexible packages allow much of the celebration to take place in one location.

Piersland House has several spaces for ceremonies, drinks receptions, wedding breakfasts and evening celebrations. 

Walker Lounge

The Walker Lounge provides a relaxed setting for welcoming guests and enjoying drinks before or after the ceremony.

Capacity: up to 100 guests
Best for: arrival drinks and drinks receptions

Garden Room

Designed by Trevillion Interiors of London, the Garden Room is one of the hotel’s main wedding spaces and can be used for both ceremonies and dining.

Capacity: up to 94 guests, 170 evening guests
Best for: ceremonies and wedding breakfasts

Conservatory

The Conservatory is suited to smaller ceremonies and wedding meals, with plenty of natural light and access to the surrounding hotel spaces.

Ceremony capacity: up to 80 guests
Wedding breakfast capacity: up to 40 guests

Gardens Marquee

For larger weddings, the Gardens Marquee provides additional space within the hotel grounds.

Outdoor weddings at Piersland House

Weather permitting, wedding ceremonies can take place outside on the hotel lawn, allowing couples to make use of Piersland House’s landscaped gardens.

The grounds can also be used for drinks receptions and wedding photographs, while Troon beach is around 300 yards away for couples looking to include the Ayrshire coast in their photography.

Civil, humanist and religious ceremonies

Piersland House can host civil, humanist and religious wedding ceremonies.

For a civil ceremony, couples should arrange an authorised registrar for their chosen date and location. Humanist and religious ceremonies can also take place at the hotel with an appropriately authorised celebrant.

Ceremonies can be held indoors or, weather permitting, outdoors within the hotel grounds

Menus are available according to the chosen wedding package, with canapés, drinks, wedding breakfasts and evening food among the options that can be arranged.

The hotel holds an AA Rosette for its food and has a long-standing executive chef and kitchen team.

A packaged option for couples looking to cover the main elements of the wedding day in one booking. Additional guests may be added for an extra cost.

A step up in inclusions for couples looking for additional food, drink or wedding-day elements. Additional guests may be added for an extra cost.

Jura Package – £7,100 for 2026 (50 guests)

The hotel’s higher-tier wedding package, offering a broader range of inclusions for the celebration. Additional guests may be added for an extra cost.

Deluxe Micro Wedding Package – £2,950 for 2026 (20 guests)

Designed for smaller celebrations of around 20 guests, with additional guests available depending on the chosen arrangements.

Micro weddings at Piersland House

Piersland House offers a dedicated Deluxe Micro Wedding Package for couples planning a smaller celebration.

The Garden Room and Conservatory can be used across the ceremony, drinks reception, meal and evening, with the option of an outdoor ceremony when the weather allows.

This makes the venue suitable for intimate weddings as well as larger traditional celebrations.

Piersland House has 44 individually designed bedrooms, allowing couples and guests to stay on site after the wedding.

Accommodation is spread across the main house, Mews, Lodge and Courtyard with a dedicated Honeymoon Suite also available.
