About Pratis Barns

Pratis Barns was created by married couple Patrick and Nicola Gilmour, bringing together their events experience, family passion for food and love of entertaining.
The venue is built around the idea of an all-in-one countryside wedding, giving couples the freedom of a rustic barn setting with the support of an experienced in-house team. From catering and bar service to décor, planning support and accommodation, many of the key wedding elements are available on site.

The Stables
The Stables is Pratis Barns’ ceremony space, filled with rustic charm and warm lighting. Former horse stables have been transformed into an intimate setting with fairy and festoon lights, creating a relaxed backdrop for saying “I do”.

The Shed
The Shed is a bright, open space suited to drinks receptions and relaxed gatherings. It acts as a blank canvas that couples can style in their own way, with easy access to the grounds for outdoor mingling when the weather allows.

The Byre
The Byre is Pratis Barns’ main dining and evening celebration space. Designed for wedding breakfasts, dancing and entertainment, it includes timber beams, a fully stocked licensed bar and a stage.

The Grounds
The outdoor grounds offer space for open-air ceremonies and receptions, with countryside views and the Firth of Forth as a backdrop. The walled garden is especially suited to intimate outdoor ceremonies.

The Timber Barn
The Timber Barn is a sheltered outdoor gathering space that can be used for drinks, relaxed conversations, BBQs and additional celebrations around the wedding day. It works particularly well for welcome drinks, post-wedding gatherings or a laid-back evening moment.
