The Ballroom

The Ballroom is the hotel’s largest event space, hosting up to 200 guests for ceremonies and receptions. It can also be divided to create a more intimate layout:

• Half Ballroom: ceremonies for up to 100 guests, seated meals for up to 60

• Full Ballroom: ceremonies and receptions for up to 200 guests

The adaptable layout ensures the room always feels appropriately sized, whether for a small celebration or a large gathering.

Outdoor ceremonies

The terrace can host outdoor ceremonies for up to 120 guests, especially popular during the summer months. It’s also an ideal space for drinks and canapés while couples take photos in the gardens. Upgrades such as barbecues or a private chef can be added.

Brand new private wedding bar

Opened in November 2025, Riverside Lodge Hotel’s brand new Sgian-dubh Bar offers an exclusive setting for drinks receptions and evening turnarounds.

Gold Package

The Gold Package is ideal for those looking to organise their big day and let the Riverside Lodge team handle the food, drinks and party. 

This package includes:

Platinum Package

The Platinum Package is perfect for those looking for an all-inclusive, full-day package for their wedding day, for a stress-free planning experience.

• DJ and piper

• Table plan, place cards and post box

• Wedding cake

• Overnight stay in the honeymoon suite

For an additional £30pp, the Riverside Lodge Hotel team will handle most of the details of your big day. With cake tastings and supplier meetings included, couples will still have the enjoyment of selecting what they want, whilst their coordinator will handle the booking details. 

Twilight Package

Suited for weddings held Sunday-Thursday or with at least 12 months’ notice, Riverside Lodge Hotel’s Twilight Package offers a relaxed blend between ceremony and evening reception.

Elopements and intimate weddings

Riverside Lodge Hotel can accommodate elopements and intimate weddings between Monday and Thursday, with bespoke pricing.

With 126 ensuite bedrooms, Riverside Lodge Hotel allows couples and guests to stay in one place, reducing travel on the day. 

Flexible, open rooming lists mean couples can reserve rooms for guests, with unneeded rooms released closer to the wedding date and guests confirming rooms themselves.

Bridal dressing rooms

Make your pre-wedding moments extra special with Riverside Lodge Hotel’s bridal dressing rooms – perfect for a celebratory sleepover.

Each room accommodates up to eight guests and features LED mirrors and a private patio, giving you enough space to relax, get ready and make the most of your wedding preparations.

The Riverside Honeymoon Suite

The Riverside Suite includes a dressing area, jacuzzi bath and private balcony overlooking the river, offering a calm retreat at the end of the day.

In-house tailored wedding catering 

All catering is provided in-house and included within each package. Menus can be tailored to dietary requirements and personal preferences, and the chefs are known for accommodating specific requests, from sauces to garnishes, to ensure the meal reflects each couple’s tastes.

While the hotel and its restaurant are still in operation during your wedding, these are in separate locations and will not interfere with your festivities.

Is there a wedding coordinator?

Yes, Riverside Lodge Hotel has multiple experienced in-house wedding coordinators on the team, looking after couples from enquiry to the wedding meal.

Couples are invited to be as involved as possible during the planning process and will be introduced to a member of the event operations team during the final meeting who will review all the details of the wedding day, including table layouts, napkin options and bar stock – ensuring every second is set exactly to each couple’s requirements.
