These days, my leisure time leans more towards the lazy side. All those memes floating about Instagram, poking fun at the girl who breathes a sigh of relief when big plans in the great outdoors are cancelled? That’s yours truly they’re talking about. Give me a couch, some pals, Netflix and a bag of popcorn any day. Staying in is the new going out.
Sometimes, however, you do actually need to venture beyond your front door – like when you are shopping for your wedding gown and trying on bridal accessories, for example (there’s not a virtual reality headset for that quite yet). Luckily, Kudos Bridal Boutiques has built a bit of a home-from-home in the form of its Edinburgh store and, come 2nd and 3rd August, will be running a series of Girls’ Night In events amongst the plush surroundings.
“We’ll have a range of suppliers, from hair stylists to makeup artists, and the whole concept of the night is to try and complete your bridal look with the help of the professionals and exclusive accessory samples on loan from Richard Designs,” explains the boutique’s owner Michelle Scott. “There will be hair combs, vines, jackets, fur wraps and a sneak peak at Catriona Garforth‘s Bridal Duster range, plus discounts for those who attend and a prize draw to win a free pair of Paradox London shoes.
“We are very excited to see new faces and have a fun night filled with music, bubbly, cupcakes, nails and lots of accessories!”
