If you’re searching for an exclusive-use wedding venue in Fife, Cambo Country House and Estate remains one of the most in-demand options for couples planning a multi-day Scottish wedding.
Located in the East Neuk between St Andrews and Crail, the country-house estate is known for its relaxed, house-party feel, flexible spaces and strong outdoor ceremony offering.
On a recent visit, we explored what’s changed – and what’s coming next – including new hire options for 2027 weddings, updated event spaces and evolving ways to use the estate across an extended celebration.
Scotland's best unique and unusual wedding venues
Why Cambo Estate stands out for weddings in Fife
Much of what makes Cambo Estate a standout Scottish wedding venue is unchanged. No two celebrations look the same here, with couples making full use of the estate’s mix of indoor and outdoor settings.
Recent weddings have included everything from late-night woodland parties to outdoor ceremonies followed by courtyard dining.
The flexibility is a big part of the appeal, particularly for couples planning a weekend wedding in Scotland.

Outdoor ceremonies and flexible wedding spaces
Thanks to the East Neuk’s relatively mild and dry microclimate, outdoor wedding ceremonies in Fife are increasingly popular at Cambo. More than half now take place outside, with final decisions made on the morning of the wedding.
Key spaces across the estate include:
- Outer Courtyard – a sheltered, leafy spot for drinks receptions, smaller ceremonies or relaxed dining
- Inner Courtyard – a covered, rustic space suited to ceremonies, wedding breakfasts and dancing
- Top Lawn – ideal for outdoor ceremonies and post-ceremony drinks
- Party Woodland – typically used for after-parties, but also a unique ceremony option
This shift towards outdoor use has shaped how the venue is now being offered to couples.

New renovations and updated event spaces
Further updates are planned for 2026, including a refurbishment of the Old Laundry and bar area. The aim is to create a fully functional space for ceremonies, dining and dancing, reducing the need for room turnarounds.
Additional enhancements include:

- Improved flow between ceremony, dining and evening space
These updates reflect how couples are increasingly planning flexible, multi-space wedding days.
