Turning leaves like natural confetti. A rich and burnished colour palette. Golden sunsets at dinnertime.

There’s a lot going for weddings during the season of mists, mellow fruitfulness and pumpkin spice.

“As it took place at the end of October, autumn was the main inspiration for our photoshoot at Murrayshall Country Estate,” says photographer and creative lead Heather Lynn of Something Blue Photography.

“All the suppliers and creatives put their own spin on things, but the colours and atmosphere of the season was the thread that tied everything together.”

“We were lucky enough to get a brand-new design from Kirkcaldy-based dress designer Mirka Bridal Couture,” says Heather

The team lucked out with decent weather, which meant they could take advantage of the picturesque surroundings that the four-star Perthshire hotel and estate offers.

“The gardens are stunning, and there was so much beautiful scenery, especially when it was shrouded in autumnal colours,” remembers Heather.

Wedding venues in Scotland with outdoor spaces

Murrayshall provided a stunning backdrop, with its elegant interiors and breathtaking outdoor spaces complementing the warm, earthy tones of the shoot’s design.

From seasonal florals to rich, textural details, every element came together to celebrate the magic of autumn weddings.
