Sarah and Andrew celebrated with 120 loved ones at Eden Leisure Village on 20th September 2025
When Sarah and Andrew began searching for their Scottish wedding venue, they knew exactly what they wanted: an outdoor ceremony, a relaxed atmosphere, great food and, most importantly, somewhere their beloved dog Reggie could be part of the celebrations.
They found everything they were looking for at Eden Leisure Village, just outside Glasgow, where a woodland ceremony, street food and laid-back festival-style celebrations made for a wedding day that felt completely their own.

Choosing Eden Leisure Village for their wedding
"Eden was the first venue we viewed, and it ticked every box," says Sarah. "We were looking for something a bit different to the traditional set-up, and we loved the idea of marrying outdoors."

One of the biggest deciding factors was that Reggie could be involved throughout the day.
"It was really important to have Reggie there. There are no restrictions on dogs at Eden, and he was even allowed to stay in the chalet with us."
The venue's flexible, blank-canvas approach also appealed to the couple, giving them the freedom to create a celebration that reflected their personalities.
"We loved that we could choose most of our own suppliers.
"Regis Banqueting is the preferred caterer, but we still had the option of bringing in street food and a mobile bar. The Little Margarita Truck was such a hit with our guests."
An outdoor woodland wedding ceremony
The couple stayed on site for two nights, making the most of everything Eden has to offer, including the barbecue hut and golf buggy. The wedding morning looked very different for each of them.

"Andrew went for a dog walk before making everyone breakfast, while I somehow found myself doing yoga at 4am before everything kicked off," laughs Sarah.
Their ceremony took place in Eden's woodland ceremony glade, surrounded by trees, creating a peaceful and intimate setting. Of course, Reggie stole the show as ring bearer.
Festival-inspired celebrations
After saying "I do", guests gathered in the courtyard for drinks before enjoying a relaxed afternoon that felt more like a summer festival than a traditional wedding.
"Our guests kept telling us they'd never been to a wedding like it before. It was so relaxed."

One of Sarah's favourite memories came during the drinks reception.
"I danced with my 91-year-old Grampa to You've Got a Friend in Me. It's something I'll treasure forever."
Wedding photos in the woodland
The couple had been taking dance lessons ahead of the wedding and even squeezed in a final rehearsal while out taking portraits.
"We'd choreographed part of our first dance and practised it in the woods while we were having our photos taken!"
The surrounding woodland quickly became their favourite backdrop. "There are so many beautiful places for photos around Eden, but the woodland was definitely our favourite."
A rustic barn reception to end the day
Guests enjoyed dinner in the marquee before moving into Eden's rustic barn for an evening of dancing and celebrations. Looking back, Sarah wouldn't change a thing.
"Getting married in the woods is a totally magical experience.
"The only downside is that the day goes by far too quickly. We'd love to do it all again."
