Glasgow city centre provided the perfect backdrop for Reece and Harry Corrigan’s springtime wedding on 2nd May 2025
Reece and Harry knew from the start that a big traditional wedding did not feel like them. After briefly considering a Las Vegas ceremony, they realised they wanted a few close family members there, and Glasgow quickly became the perfect choice.
The city centre held personal meaning for the couple, as it was where they were both living at the beginning of their relationship. The Clyde Suite at 23 Montrose Street, part of Glasgow City Chambers, offered the right setting for their intimate Glasgow wedding ceremony.

A Glasgow city ceremony at 23 Montrose Street
The couple began planning around a year before the wedding, booking key suppliers early and keeping the whole process simple. Their ceremony took place at 2pm in the Clyde Suite.
“It was a lovely ceremony in such a gorgeous venue,” says Reece.
“We did the legal bits and then we were able to say the vows we’d written for each other. It was great that we were able to personalise it.”

For couples considering a small wedding or semi-elopement in Glasgow, Reece and Harry’s day shows how personal and meaningful a city ceremony can be without the pressure of a large celebration.
A relaxed morning and standout wedding flowers
The morning of the wedding was calm and low-key, with sausage rolls and cakes from Cottonrake in Glasgow’s west end, followed by a viewing of Mamma Mia with Reece’s mum.
Flowers were one of the bride’s biggest priorities. “From the beginning, the main thing for me was my flowers,” she says.

“I always knew I wanted a big bouquet with pastel colours, and Floral Menagerie couldn’t have made a more perfect bouquet.”
Drinks, photos and time together in the city
After the ceremony, the couple headed into Glasgow city centre for photographs before making their way to the west end.
This Glasgow wedding had small guest list but was big on style
“We walked through the city centre to get the subway to West Side Tavern in Partick, where we had some drinks,” says Reece.
“Then Harry and I walked up Byres Road to The Bothy, just the two of us, to have some time together before our meal.”
That slower pace gave them space to enjoy the day properly, without rushing from one formal moment to the next.
A garden party wedding celebration
The following day, Reece and Harry continued the celebrations with a relaxed garden party at the bride’s parents’ home.
The dress code was casual and summery, with plenty of food, drinks and dancing. “It all felt very relaxed and un-wedding like,” smiles Reece.
“It was pure magic to feel all that love. Harry and I both said we wished we could’ve bottled the feeling of that weekend.”
For the couple, the best part was simple: “Feeling zero stress. The pressure to have a ‘perfect’ day was off, as all we wanted to do was get married. Our day was just pure joy – and even planning it was a lot of fun.”
