The Director’s Suite

Ideal for intimate wedding ceremonies, with original architectural details, striking columns and large windows.

Capacity: Up to 50 guests
Use: Wedding ceremonies and photographs
Access: Book one night to use the Director’s Suite for your ceremony, with checkout at 11am the following day. Or book two nights to check in the day before, get ready in the suite, and enjoy your first night as a married couple.
Stay: One- or two-night options available, with the Honeymoon Suite included for the night of the wedding
Two-night option: Acces from 3pm the day before the wedding

The Games Room

A characterful setting for wedding breakfasts, with original features and views across St Andrew Square.

Capacity: Up to 50 guests
Use: Wedding breakfast, dining and speeches
Seating: Up to 22 on one table, 30 on rounds, 35 across two long tables or 50 on squares
Menu: Three-course set menu, with options to upgrade to 2-2-2 or 3-3-3

The Penthouse

A stylish space for drinks receptions, with contemporary interiors and sweeping Edinburgh views.

Use: Drinks receptions
Outdoor ceremonies: Up to 30 seated or 50 standing on the terrace

The Register Club

An intimate fourth-floor space with city views, beautifully designed interiors and cocktails prepared by the hotel's mixologists.

Lady Libertine

A vibrant cocktail bar for evening celebrations, with space for both intimate and larger parties.

History of The Edinburgh Grand

The Edinburgh Grand occupies a beautifully restored former bank on St Andrew Square, combining original architectural features with contemporary interiors. Details throughout the building include oak panelling, stained glass windows, striking columns and doorknobs featuring the bank’s branding and Scottish thistle motif.

Since July 2025, The Edinburgh Grand has hosted weddings as part of Marriott’s Luxury Collection, with several weddings taking place each month and celebrations tailored to each couple.

Its central location also provides the city’s historic streets and architecture as an additional backdrop for photographs.
