The Collector’s Hall: Glasgow’s new luxury wedding venue
“The Collector’s Hall is one of a kind – it honours the past, serves today’s weddings and is a place to create unforgettable memories,” says general manager, Craig Munro.
“With history at its core and hospitality at its centre, the venue (located inside AC Hotel by Marriott Glasgow) provides 240 bedrooms and – for those seeking a heightened level of exclusivity – there’s the Liberty Suite, a luxurious penthouse with panoramic views of Glasgow.
“The new venue pairs original features with contemporary finishes, such as vaulted ceilings above a grand main space where the stonework has been preserved and light pours through a glass-covered courtyard.
“The result is a setting that feels timeless in spirit and effortless in operation – the ideal location for luxe weddings with a modern twist. Every wedding held here is treated as a one-of-a-kind occasion, with the team working closely with each couple to craft an experience that reflects their story.
“From the intimacy of the Treasury to the scale of the Main Hall, and the openness of The Courtyard, each space has been carefully considered to provide couples with flexibility and choice.
“No two weddings here will ever be the same. Each one is made to feel exceptional – just as it should be.”

Luxury wedding flowers by Lucienne Luxe
“Lucienne Luxe is a luxury floral and event decor studio, born from the same creative spirit behind Salty Frog, my floristry studio and coffee shop in Glasgow’s west end,” explains owner Natalie Watt.
“My vision for the shoot was a floral, candlelit setting that echoed the refined elegance of the gowns and architectural beauty of the venue. The space at The Collector’s Hall, with its domed ceiling, monochrome flooring and neutral tones, called for something luxurious and understated.
“Layered white and ivory hydrangeas and garden roses with trailing foliage brought depth and texture, while tall arrangements lifted the eye to the venue’s dome focal point. Clusters of blooms and flickering candles at ground level added intimacy and warmth.”

Bridal makeup inspiration from Kirsty Martin
“Good skin prep is key for any glowy bridal makeup and my favourite product for this is Charlotte Tilbury Magic Serum Crystal Elixir,” says Kirsty Martin, award-winning celebrity and bridal makeup artist.
“Drinking a lot of water in the lead-up to your wedding can also help with this type of look to prevent your skin being dehydrated.
“Another key piece of advice is to apply everything in thin layers – don’t go in thick and heavy with foundation; apply it lightly instead as this will make it last longer. Paired with a good concealer, this will give you coverage in the right places.
“On Emily, I used Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation and Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder, and blended Fake Bake Bronzing Compact on the eyes. Next up, I added a smoky brown eyeliner (MAC Eye Kohl in Costa Riche) instead of a black shade, which helps takes a bridal look from day-to-night – it brings definition without being too harsh.
“I also kept in mind the style of dresses when it came to makeup, for example with the halterneck Berta gown, I applied Sol de Janeiro Copacabana Glowmotions Glow Body Oil mixed with Charlotte Tilbury Supermodel Body Shimmer to make Emily’s skin glow luminously.”
Scottish bridal beauty experts share their top product picks
Bridal hair styling by Pam Doc
“The first look I created on Emily was a loose French twist with a relaxed vibe. I prepped the hair with GHD Curve Soft Curl Tongs and used Color Wow Style On Steroids Spray and Redken Max Hold Hairspray 32 to keep everything in place,” says Pam Doc, celebrity and bridal hair expert and Great Lengths UK digital advocate.
“Another key bridal product for me is Chāmpo Haircare’s Pitta Growth Serum – it’s a light serum that strengthens hair, but it also helps create sleekness.
“As we progressed through the photoshoot, I transformed the look into a loose messy bun with natural movement. For the last style, which was my personal favourite, I wanted to push from classic bridal into more editorial glam and added texture to her hair. My must-have product for this was Chāmpo Flyaway Fix to tidy up around the hairline.
“For any brides looking to add that shine and thickness to their hair, I’d recommend Revive Collagen as it supports growth. Lastly, when it comes to picking a hairstyle for your wedding, it’s always got to be based on the dress; one of the first questions I ask my brides is what they are planning to wear.”

Denise at Edinburgh-based YiShi Cake’s creations are impressive works of art with edible lace and incredible fondant structures. “The intricate decor on this one I made especially for the shoot creates the illusion that the butterflies are gently flying around the cake,” she comments.
