The Grand Ballroom

The spectacular Grand Roosevelt Ballroom features dramatic original period details, exposed beams and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the castle’s waterfall. This medieval-style ballroom can host up to 250 guests and is ideal for ceremonies, wedding breakfasts and evening receptions, offering a striking and atmospheric setting for larger Scottish castle weddings.

Filled with 15th-century charm, the castle’s ceremony rooms offer an intimate and atmospheric setting for couples dreaming of an authentic Scottish castle wedding. 

Whether you choose the gold-leaf Baillie Room, the light-filled Stewart Room, with garden views, or the stately James Little Hall, each space is rich in antiques, artwork and architectural detail. 

These beautifully restored rooms provide a romantic backdrop that needs very little styling.

Exclusive use at Crossbasket Castle

For weddings of 60 guests or more, the castle is offered on an exclusive-use basis - ensuring complete privacy and providing

The exclusive-use rate is based on overnight accommodation in the nine historic castle rooms, sleeping up to 18 guests on a bed and breakfast basis, as well as all public rooms within the castle, but does not include food and drink. 

Accommodation at Crossbasket Castle

Luxury on-site accommodation is a key part of the Crossbasket Castle wedding experience. The castle itself features nine five-star bedrooms and suites, sleeping up to 18 guests. 

Newlyweds often choose the romantic Lindsay Tower Suite, a four-storey private retreat perfect for a wedding night in a luxury Scottish castle. 

The new modern hotel building features luxe Art Deco-inspired rooms comprising two suites, four junior suites, eight deluxe rooms and 26 classic rooms. There are lodges in the grounds too.

Twelve luxurious riverside timber cabins are due to open in late 2026, alongside a new spa.

Extend the wedding celebrations at Trocadero’s, Crossbasket Castle’s unique destination restaurant and cocktail bar inspired by the 1920s, or Foveran’s, a serene and airy palm court-style setting for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Pre-wedding dinner or post-wedding brunch, sorted.
