A dreamy palette of powder blue, blush and ivory set the tone for this luxury styled shoot at Newhall Estate, where some of Scotland's top wedding creatives came together to showcase fashion-forward styling, statement florals and elegant details

Modern Luxe Club's latest workshop (created by industry-leading wedding content creators Social Brides Club) brought a handpicked team of Scottish wedding suppliers to the idyllic Newhall Estate

At the venue, a country estate just outside Edinburgh, the team worked together to create and capture a series of beautifully styled scenes designed to inspire both couples and industry professionals alike.

Captured by Jennifer Glen Photography, the shoot embraced a soft spring colour palette of baby blue, blush pink, ivory and fresh green, balancing Newhall Estate's grand architecture and elegant interiors with romantic florals, contemporary styling and editorial bridal fashion.

"This incredible day was shaped by the most beautiful soft spring palette, with baby blues, blush tones, and layers of texture woven through every thoughtful detail," says photographer Jennifer Glen.

"The team of creatives behind this are endlessly inspiring, and I feel truly honoured to be part of it."

From a dramatic candle cake moment to an exquisite tablescape dressed in layers of florals and blue taper candles, every detail was carefully considered to demonstrate how luxury wedding design can feel both elevated and attainable – with the right suppliers, of course.

The dreamy vision you have for your special day can be a lot to do on your own!

Reflecting on the shoot, wedding stylist, Alice Muir of Allure Collective, says, "As the stylist we had to make so many decisions to come up with a tablescape and cake display like this.

"So many couples have told me they’re experiencing real decision fatigue recently – you don’t realise until you’re deep in wedding planning just how many decisions you’re expected to make."

A fresh take on spring wedding styling

The creative team drew inspiration from the arrival of spring, using delicate shades of blue and blush alongside soft neutrals to create a look that felt refined yet relaxed.

Throughout the estate, floral artist Louise Davies of Glasgow-based Braw Blooms incorporated seasonal-inspired arrangements featuring trailing greenery, pale roses, hydrangeas and delicate blue blooms. The palette carried through every element of the shoot, from the stationery and tablescape styling to the bridal bouquets and ceremony florals.

In Newhall Estate's light-filled conservatory, a long reception table became the centrepiece of the day, dressed with patterned linens, blue glassware, layered place settings and rows of blue taper candles that added both colour and height.

Fashion-forward bridal looks

Fashion played a starring role throughout the shoot, with Ayrshire boutique Opus Couture supplying two gorgeous Berta Bridal dresses for the occasion.

"We loved showcasing a handpicked selection of brand-new 2026 Berta dresses as part of the workshop," says Opus' business manager Susan Lightbody.

Look one featured a romantic long-sleeved lace gown paired with a dramatic veil, perfectly suited to Newhall Estate's historic surroundings.

While look two, a heavily embellished two-piece corset and fitted skirt ensemble, paired with matching detached lace sleeves, introduced a more glamorous evening feel.

The team also captured model Jess wearing a chic mini slip and flowing Nola Grey robe throughout the morning preparations in the venue's bridal suite.

Complementing Jess' bridal looks was partner and fellow model Ben, sporting a classic groom black-tie styling – proving that timeless tailoring remains the perfect partner to fashion-led bridalwear.

Thoughtful details with personality

Thoughtful details were woven through every aspect of the day.

Bespoke stationery by Braw Stationery incorporated elegant typography, custom illustrations and personalised monograms, adding character and cohesion to the overall design.

Pearls, jewellery, lace shoes and carefully curated accessories enhanced the detail shots, while the venue's mix of bright contemporary spaces and atmospheric traditional rooms offered endless inspiration for wedding photography.

The result was a shoot filled with ideas that couples can easily adapt to their own celebrations, whether through colour palettes, tablescaping choices or personalised finishing touches.

The candle cake trend takes centre stage

One of the standout moments from the day was the trendy rectangular cake display created by Zara's Cakery.

Stretching to an impressive length and surrounded by florals and candlelight, the set-up brought not one but two of the latest wedding cake trends to life – starting with the unique, long rectangular shape and ending with the bride and groom simultaneously blowing out candles in front of their guests – in this case the lovely behind-the-scenes creative team.

Couples and their suppliers are constantly looking for ways to refresh and reinterpret popular wedding traditions and the latest 'candle cake trend' is an excellent alternative, or addition, to the classic cake cutting moment.

The creative team also incorporated a stunning champagne tower, cohesively styled with the same florals and tablecloth as the reception table, and sweet photobooth portraits – adding a sense of interactive fun to the luxury setting.

A collaboration of Scotland's wedding creatives

More than a styled shoot, the workshop reflected Modern Luxe Club's commitment to bringing together Scotland's luxury wedding suppliers through collaboration, creativity and community.

"More than building a luxury portfolio, Modern Luxe Club is about building genuine industry connections too," says founder and lead content creator, Lauren Prichard.

By combining expertise across fashion, floristry, styling, stationery, beauty and photography, the team created a collection of images packed with inspiration for couples planning a contemporary Scottish wedding.
