For couples considering an intimate wedding in Scotland, look no further than Wee Elopement Co., a brand new service that brings together elopement planning, photography and film. Founded by photographers Hayley Fraser and Donna Murray, this Scottish elopement business is designed for couples who want a personal, outdoors-focused celebration without the pressure of a traditional wedding day.

From friendship to Scottish elopement planning

Wee Elopement Co. began with a friendship. Hayley and Donna first connected through photography, before years of shooting weddings side by side and travelling together turned that shared interest into a close creative partnership.

“There’s something special about working with someone you click with,” says Hayley. “Our styles bounce off each other, helping us create a fun environment for couples and work on meaningful projects with a shared vision.”

The idea for Wee Elopement Co. came during a trip to Zadar. Over dinner, honest chats and a glass of wine, the pair realised they could combine their experience in the wedding industry with their love of the outdoors. Between them, Hayley and Donna bring 22 years of wedding expertise to the business, alongside a deep knowledge of the kinds of Scottish locations that suit intimate celebrations.

Elopements in Scotland with photography and film included

Wee Elopement Co. is aimed at couples who want more than a photographer turning up on the day. The business offers elopement planning support alongside photography and film, helping couples shape the full experience from the early stages.

Whether couples are imagining a Glencoe elopement, a ceremony on the coast, or a quiet outdoor wedding elsewhere in Scotland, Hayley and Donna can help with location ideas, timings and the practical details that make the day run smoothly.

“We are as passionate about the outdoors as we are weddings,” says Hayley. “Hill walking fuels our creativity, and we know plenty of places for a beautiful elopement in Scotland.”

Their photography style is highly creative and focuses on real moments rather than overly staged images. The result is wedding coverage that captures the true atmosphere of the day, from the landscape and styling to the small, unscripted moments between the couple.

“Our goal is to provide seamless support every step of the way, while capturing your day with our creative and documentary approach,” Hayley explains.

A Glencoe styled shoot with inclusivity at its heart

To launch Wee Elopement Co. and show how the pair work together, Hayley organised a styled shoot in one of the pair’s favourite places to shoot: Glencoe. Known for its dramatic mountain scenery, it’s no surprise that Glencoe is such a popular choice for couples with a more adventurous Scottish elopement in mind.

Alongside stunning scenery, inclusivity and diversity are also central to Wee Elopement Co., so Hayley and Donna chose to work with a same-sex couple, Kelly and Ula. “I met Kelly and Ula and was instantly struck by their natural ease in front of the camera,” says Hayley. “They looked absolutely stunning against the Glencoe mountains, and their love shines through in every frame.”

The styling featured lace, boho-inspired details, flowing hair and natural makeup. Custom-made dresses were supplied by Poppy’s Perspective, a designer who creates pieces using vintage lace. The finished look felt soft, personal and ideal for couples looking for Scottish elopement inspiration with a relaxed, outdoorsy feel.
