Say I Do Weddings, Glasgow

What’s your company background? We have been doing this for five years now. After researching decor companies for our own wedding in 2015, we struggled to find the exact style we were looking for at a reasonable price, and realised there was a small gap in the market. We decided to launch our own decor company offering a range of hire items and luxury silk florals at affordable prices.

Tell us about your packages and prices We offer a selection of items for hire: chair covers; bespoke aisle decor; silk florals for the ceremony and reception; LED letters and lighting; table centres; LED and floral backdrops; floral arches; and floral mirrors as welcome signs or seating plans. Our prices are competitive: our luxury chair cover and sash range starts at just £1.50 per chair, our grand silk rose table centres are just £35 per table, and we offer a variety of different ceremony/reception decor package options which start at £495.

Why should a couple pick your company to decorate their wedding? We pride ourselves on our customer focus. Our aim is to offer affordable luxury decor, incorporating the couple’s theme to make each set-up as personal as possible. From start to finish, we ensure that all clients have a stress-free experience in the run-up to the big day. No matter what time of the day or night, we are always happy to answer your questions.

Perfect Moments Events, Renfrewshire

What got you into working in weddings? We have been venue styling for seven years. I got involved as I love creating and found it so rewarding to transform a venue. I do my utmost to deliver quality styling for every wedding.

What sort of props or styles do you predict might be popular for 2023 weddings? The moon arch with lots of greenery and flowers is still going to be very popular, and the rustic look shows no sign of disappearing any time soon.

Boost your theme with pretty chair covers or sashes that tie in with the flowers in the bouquets and on the ceremony structures

Which items from your collection do you think offer most ‘bang for your buck’? Our trio of cylinder centrepieces. These have floral details in them, as well as water and floating candles. They’re very popular and effective, yet affordable.

Aside from availability, what’s the most crucial thing to consider when booking a styling company? It’s important that the company fits with the kind of styling look the couple are hoping for, and that the cost fits your budget. We offer a bespoke service at an affordable price.

Do you work closely with your clients? We work with each couple to create the look and style they want for their day. Keeping in contact with them is important, as this allows for any changes to be made over the months (or years) from their first booking, and ensures their day is how they envisioned it.

KC Events, Glasgow

How did KC Events start out? I took on the challenge of doing the decor for my dad’s 50th back in 2017. I was really surprised at how well it turned out and decided I wanted to do more of it. I’ve been styling venues ever since.

Do you have any favourite anecdotes from weddings you’ve decorated? A bride came to us four days before her wedding needing her table decor done. The company she’d originally booked had caught Covid and were unable to do it. We managed to pull it off with what we had in store (plus a few last-minute supplies) and the couple couldn’t have been more thankful or happier with the outcome.

Why should a couple pick your company to style their wedding? We want your special day to be as perfect as you do. We dedicate a week to plan and finish all the special touches ahead of the big day. Communication is also very important for us: if there are any last-minute changes we are always at the other end of the phone to help. We can do any theme or style: big and bold or small and subtle.

Tell us about your packages and your approach to decorating We offer a range of services including table decor, balloon displays, flowers and foliage, and so on. Our packages for wedding decor begin at £500: we think everyone should be able to celebrate big life events without a huge price tag.

CF Sound & Light, West Lothian

What got you into the business of decorating wedding venues? Before the pandemic, we had provided items for small weddings for friends and family. Once lockdown hit, our usual business streams disappeared and we had to diversify our services. We started doing intimate weddings when restrictions allowed, which has developed into what we offer today. Although we are a relatively new decor company, we have many years’ experience of working in the industry.

Tell us about your services, packages and pricing We don’t have set packages; we prefer to work with each individual couple to create a tailor-made package that really suits their needs, ideas and budget. That way, they get items they want rather than paying for things that they perhaps don’t particularly need. We pride ourselves in being very competitive on price and will work to all budgets.

These LED letters will prove a popular photo op with guests

What is your approach to decorating weddings? We provide a unique offering by supplying both venue decor and all technical requirements, including lighting, sound and audio-visual, under the one supplier.

Which props from your collection do you think offer most ‘bang for your buck’? Our candy cart or LED love letters are very competitively priced. They provide instant impact on the big day.
