Our country estate offers both the sumptuous stately home glamour of Archerfield House and the cool contemporary vibe of The Waterfront space, with overnight accommodation for up to 136 guests. Whether you envision a traditional fairytale celebration in exquisite surroundings or the ultimate extravaganza with a coastal backdrop, Archerfield promises to be the luxury wedding venue you’ve both been searching for.

Archerfield House

The grand centrepiece of Archerfield estate and one of Scotland’s most romantic exclusive-use wedding venues, Archerfield House offers extraordinary 17th century splendour. Think sweeping staircases and vast resplendently draped windows, a palatial drawing room and dining room decked in grandeur, ready for your ceremony, drinks reception, wedding breakfast – or all three.

Up to 70 guests can gather for an intimate wedding at Archerfield House, with your ceremony taking place either within the house or outside in the garden. Fifteen stunning, individually styled double bedrooms will sleep the happy couple plus an additional 28 guests.

The Waterfront

The Waterfront is Archerfield’s contemporary coastal wedding venue situated above the beach, with awe-inspiring sea views and fantastic photo opportunities. Guests can mingle outside on the terrace with drinks on a warm day while inside, this versatile space is a blank canvas for you to make your own.

As one of East Lothian’s largest wedding venues, you can invite up to 200 guests for a seated wedding breakfast, and for your reception there’s a large dance floor, sophisticated lighting system and a star-twinkling ceiling – the rest is up to you.

If you’re celebrating at The Waterfront, you have three options for your ceremony: you can choose to say your vows at Archerfield House; in a specially set up marquee at The Waterfront (additional cost); or in one of East Lothian’s picturesque parish churches.

Combined Venues

Sometimes couples find it hard to choose between the classic grandeur of Archerfield House and the coastal setting of The Waterfront. That’s where our paired venues option comes in: for example, you can take Archerfield House exclusively with its 15 double ensuite bedrooms and hold your ceremony there for up to 120 people in the hall or dining room, followed by a drinks reception in the Principal Room. We can then swiftly transport all your guests down to The Waterfront for your wedding breakfast and evening celebrations for up to 200 guests.
